You can review the list if you like, but in general, the next step is to simply quarantine everything. Malwarebytes will show you the entire list. When it’s complete, you’ll get a notification if you have malware or PUPs.Įven if no actual malware is detected, potentially unwanted programs may still be found. Run the program, if it hasn’t started automatically, and click Scan to perform a scan. It may continue to nag you, but it will keep working. If you don’t have it already, download and install the free version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. Sometimes those traces can reinstall the PUP. We’ll do the next steps even if it appeared to work, because in many cases there will be traces left over. The well-behaved items we’re looking for here should be relatively clear. Sometimes this can be tricky, as some applications intentionally use obscure names to make them more difficult to remove.
